If you leave your job during the lease, the novated lease agreement with your employer ends. From that point, you’ll need to handle the finance payments directly with the financier and cover any running costs yourself.
If you're starting a new job, the good news is you can usually transfer your lease over to your new employer. Just give us a call before you resign — we’ll explain your options and help with the transition.
Most of the time, you won’t need to worry about making changes — we keep an eye on your budgets to make sure everything is tracking well.
That said, we generally don’t recommend making changes during the first 12 months of your lease. This period helps us get an accurate picture of your actual usage so we can fine-tune your budgets later if needed.

You’ll usually receive a renewal notice from your state authority around 6 weeks before it’s due. Once you get it:
Just make sure you complete this before the due date — driving an unregistered vehicle can lead to fines and impact your insurance coverage.
As you approach the end of your lease, you’ve got a few solid options to consider. We’ll reach out ahead of time to walk you through the process, but here’s a quick overview of what your choices look like:
If you’re ready for a change, you can trade in your current vehicle and start fresh with a brand new novated lease. We’ll help you coordinate everything so the handover is smooth.
Love your car and want to keep it a bit longer? You might be able to extend your current lease, provided the following conditions are met:
If it ticks all those boxes, we’ll create a new lease quote and update your budgets accordingly. Easy.
You can also choose to pay out the residual value and take full ownership of the vehicle. At that point, your novated lease ends, and the car is officially yours.
Just keep in mind:
